Intro to Warm Glass (Fusing and Slumping)
-
40205232
This class will focus on the technique of ‘warm glass.’ This involves design and layering glass elements, while considering overall composition. Instruction will be given on how to cut and layer glass, how to use tone and depth of glass stacks to anticipate the completed fused appearance. Glass will have an initial kiln firing which is how the glass is ‘melted’, or fused together. Participants will also learn how to design their fused creation to anticipate the ‘look’ of the piece after it has had a second kiln firing on a mold of their choosing. Each piece requires 2 kiln firings.
$20 registration fee due at registration, and $95 payment due first session payable to instructor. Registration and reservations for class must be completed at least one week prior to first class.
